My Little Corner of the Blog
Well it's Thursday. Just 1 more work day until I have a week of badly needed vacation! Haven't had any significant vacation time since returning from our trip to Alaska in August last year. Phil and I are going to visit his 2 sisters in Chicago next week. That's always fun. We're going downtown to see the sites again. Last year we toured the Sears Tower, the Navy Pier and had a city tour. We also had a luncheon cruise on Lake Michigan. Will let you know later what we do on our trip there this year!
I have a ton of pix from my son, David's wedding. He got married on June 10, 2006. I can't wait to get going on the scrapbook I have planned for him and Lindsey! I'm still working on finishing up my scrapbook from our trip to Alaska last year. If I'm working on a large scrapbook project, like a trip, I usually need to take a break from it and do a few pages from a different theme once in awhile. I could get more done if I wasn't such a "perfectionist" - that's why I love digital scrapping - I can make as many changes as I want without commiting to gluing something permanently! I have a hard time "committing" when I do paper pages. Is anyone else like that??
Well, I'm off to do a new layout tonight and work on my Blog. I need to add some pix or layouts to jazz it up a bit.

My First Blog Entry

Hi and welcome to my Blog!
I'm new at this so I will just have to figure things out as I go. I never kept a "diary" as a little girl - tried to keep a winter weather diary once a few years ago - that only lasted a couple of months - lol! Hopefully, I will keep up with this longer!
I was recently chosen to be on Laura Burger's Creative Team. I am excited about that! Being on her team will help me stay focused on my scrapbooking. I love to scrap but sometimes have trouble staying motivated to keep at it. My "day job" seems to suck the very life out of me some days so I lose my motivation (and ambition!) I have a very close friend, Ruth, who moved to North Dakota, of all places! She and I used to get together to scrap - in fact she introduced me to scrapbooking. We kept each other motivated. Now I only see her 1-2 times a year but we keep in touch via MSN Messenger several times per week. We're planning to get together in St. Paul, Mn for the Midwest Scrapbook Association Convention there in November.
