Count Down to Christmas

The days are really counting down to Christmas! We went to DGD, Jenessa's Christmas program this afternoon. Have Ashley and Brooklyn's on Dec. 11th and Brad and Breanne's the week after that! Whew, we're gonna be busy! Need to get the tree up this weekend.
Had a great day today! Took a little road trip to one of the local casinos and have enough extra cash now for extra Christmas expenses! Can't beat that!

Days Go Slow

Hi Everyone,
I am very happy and delighted to say that I have been chosen to continue on Laura Burger's Creative Team for DigiShopTalk and 3Scrapateers digital scrapbooking sites. Hi Everyone!
I'm finally getting back to doing some blogging again. I'm still learning how to design and add things to my blog so it's a work in progress.
We had a wonderful trip to New England and New York City in October of this year. The tour company treated us like royalty, we had great places to eat and stay, saw some amazing sites, and met many new friends! It was hard to go back to work after being gone on a wonderful vacation for 2 weeks!
I've been very busy at my job. Pretty soon I will be able to cross off another year that I am closer to retirement!
My daughter, Cindy, has just gone through a very traumatic time in her life. Her fiancee announced out of the blue that he didn't want to marry her anymore about a month ago. They tried to reconcile but it just didn't work out. He's still a party guy and likes his nights out with the guys and that gets expensive and it wasn't much fun for Cindy to stay at home alone. She was pretty devastated for a few weeks but I am happy to say that she is on the way to getting over Scottie. The problem is now that she is left with all of the rent and expenses that go with living in an apartment that used to be shared by 2. She'll do fine but she had me scared for awhile because she was so upset that she wouldn't eat or drink anything for days. She lives 45 miles from me so I was a wreck worrying about her. We're past the worst part now.
Well, I'm off to finish our Christmas cards tonight so that I can start printing them out tomorrow.

I can't believe how fast the time is flying by! On Sunday we will be leaving for our trip to New England and New York City. Can't wait!!! I love to travel almost as much as I love to scrap! I am really looking forward to seeing Niagra Falls, the fall colors in the mountains, the Statue of Liberty and I sure hope that our NYC tour will include Ground Zero. Will let you know how that all turns out later!
I am also very excited because I have been chosen for Laura Burger's Creative Team again! Woohoo! She's a great designer and I love being on her team! My paper scrapping friends don't always get together that often to scrap. I don't enjoy paper scrapping alone. Because of that, I have found that digi-scrapping has been something that I can enjoy doing "alone" and I have made a new friend in the process, Laura! Thanks!
Well this is short and sweet........I have a basket of clothes to turn into wearable items for our trip, which translated means, ironing...........don't really know why I do that because everything suffers some wrinkling in the suitcase and almost every place you stay nowadays, has an iron in the room. Hmm. It's an obcession of mine, I guess. LOL

Looks like I have 25 questions to answer about myself:
1. If you could build a house anywhere, where would it be?
It would be nice to see mountains everyday but I think I would stay here in Wisconsin.
2. What's your favorite article of clothing?
My jeans. I wear them whenever I can.
3. Favorite physical feature of the opposite sex?
I like a trim and fit body.
4. What's the last CD that you bought?
It's been awhile. Hmmm......probably something by George Strait.
5. Where's your favorite place to be?
Anywhere but work. Seriously, I love being able to spend some time alone at home doing whatever I want to do.
6. Where is your least favorite place to be?
I've already given that away.....at work!
7. What's your favorite place to be massaged?
That's a toss up between my neck or my feet....I love to have both massaged.
8. Strong in mind or strong in body? Mind
9. What time do you wake up in the morning?
My alarm goes off at 0500 during the week but I hit the snooze until 0530 and then get up. I am usually up by 0700 on the weekend.....lol....that's sleeping in for me!
10. What is your favorite kitchen appliance?
My dishwasher because that's what I use the most.
11. What makes you really angry?
Women who can't get along in the work place. Seems like whenever more than 2 women are assigned to work together, one of them can't get along with the other 2! That's a supervisor's nightmare!
12. If you could play an instrument, what would it be? Piano
13. Favorite color? Shades of maroon
14. Which do you prefer - sports car or SUV?
I will probably never own either so I will say my Pontiac Bonneville.......love that car!
15. Do you believe in an afterlife? Yes
16. Favorite children's book? Winnie the Pooh
17. What is your favorite season?
Spring....everything is fresh and new after the long boring Wisconsin winter!
18. What's your least favorite household chore? Cooking
19. If you could have one super power, what would it be?
The ability to get by on little or no sleep!
20. If you have a tattoo, what is it? No tattoos for me.
21. Can you juggle? Sure, I am juggling things in my life all the time but I can't juggle objects, tho!
22. The person from your past that you wish you could go back and talk to? My father. He passed away suddenly and I never got to say goodbye.
23. What is your favorite day? I love Friday and Saturday nights.....I can stay up as long as I want to without having to worry about getting up to go to work the next day.
24. What's in the trunk of your car?
A snow scraper and the set of floor mats that I use to keep my car clean in the winter....I can always find them there when I need them!
25. Which do you prefer, sushi or hamburger? Neither

My how the time flies! I knew it would be a challenge to keep up w/blogging once I started one!
Well, I have my new PC up and running and have been busy making new LO. I've used some digital templates this week and I really like them. I like the challenge of fitting things into my LO with templates. I registered for a PSE creating digital elements class at Digital Scrapbooking Place tonight. I'm still interested in learning how to design scrapbook kits, even if it's just for my own use. So, I'm looking forward to that starting soon.
We're having a 4oth birthday party for Brian this weekend. He's NOT happy about that but we're going to have it anyway!
The Packer's are playing tonight....Yay! Go Brett! Our family members are big supporters of the Pack!
